Lock a folder without any software

To lock a folder with out any software just follow the steps

1. Copy and paste the following code (in green color) in to Notepad.

2. Type your password in place of "Type your password here"

3. Save the file with *.bat extension instead of *.txt

4. Now double click to open the file.

5. When you open it, a new folder named Locker will be created in the same place.

6. Move all the folders and files you want to lock into this folder.

7. Now double click the batch file again and in the confirmation type 'y' to lock the folder, and the locker folder will disappear.

Whenever you want to unlock the folder, open the batch file and enter the password, the locker folder will reappear again.

2) Delete file without send into recycle bin

Hold down the shift key when deleting a file to delete it immediately instead of placing it in the Recycle Bin. Files deleted in this way cannot be restored.

How to hide a drive in Windows XP





How to hide a drive in Windows XP:
  1. Click Start -> Run type regedit in the box and click OK
  2. Navigate to:
  3. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
    Explorer
  4. From the menu, navigate to Edit -> New -> DWORD Value
  5. Name the New Value NoDrives
  6. Next, Right click NoDrives and select Modify, now check theDecimal option and under Value Data enter a decimal value for the drive you would like to hide. For example to hide C you would enter4. See the list below for more values:
    • A=1
    • B=2
    • C=4
    • D=8
    • E=16
    • F=32
    • G=64
    • H=128
    • I=256
  7. Click OK once finished and restart your PC to verify the drive letter is no longer displayed
Note: You can delete the key that was created to display the drive again.

Do you want to change the default icon of your USB drive .here is the method for you

follow these steps


  1. find an icon that you want to use as your USB drive icon.you can download icons from that download icons link
  2. now copy your icon file into your USB drive. don't paste  icon in any folder.just paste in root of your USB drive
  3. now create a notepad document and copy these lines into that file 
        [Autorun]
       icon=  iconname.ico

Note: icon name mean the name of your icon file and extension.

  
     4. click on file then save  your file as " Autorun.inf " 
     5. Autorun.inf and icon file must be save on the root of the USB drive

    Now unplug your drive and insert again 


   that's it icon of your drive has been changed .

As you know when ever we want to uninstall any software we need to go to control panel and manually uninstall them. But here is the trick which let you uninstall any windows program from their desktop shortcuts. MenuUninstaller is a free software that adds an "Uninstall" Option to the Windows context menu so you can remove programs from their shortcuts.


  • Download  MENU UNINSTALLER  and install it on your pc.
  • After installing an uninstall option will be added to your windows context menu.
  • Right click on any shortcut and you will See Uninstall option as below. click on it to uninstall any programme.

Rename Start Button


How to Rename Start Button in XP

You can rename your Windows XP ‘start’ button through registry or explorer.exe by changing some values. But there is lots of efforts to rename ‘start’ button through it.
There is a new and simple way to do that without playing with registry or explorer.exe.
A utility called StartBtn Renamer will do it for you.

just download the utility, type the text( you want to give to the start button) in New Lable section and click on ‘Rename It!’.
Your ‘start’ button text has been changed.
